Cathy's Flannel Pine Cone Cozy Quilt

Cathy has made a quilt that is going to be a favorite winter snuggle quilt.

She chose a very masculine color palate that is going to make someone very happy Christmas Day.

The fabrics have pine cone and pine tree motifs on them and it only made sense to pick an edge to edge pattern that echoed that idea.

The pine cone pantograph is from Jessica at Digi-Tech and it stitched out beautifully.

Debbie's Modern Green Bean Casserole Quilt

Okay,  Debbie doesn't know that I've renamed her quilt the Green Bean Casserole but a funky quilt deserve a funky name, right?  Plus, what would Christmas be without Green Bean Casserole?

Seriously, though, this quilt is a graphic delight. I really love the black and white quilts with strong contrast.

Debbie chose the Spin Pantograph pattern for her quilt in a green thread. Really look at the quilt- it is just a four patch with high contrast sashing. Simple but very effective.

Lynn's Polka Dot Party

Lynn made this fun polka dot party quilt for her daughter and it will be under the tree for Christmas.

Who knew orange and pink could looks so awesome and funky together?

She chose a swirl pantograph for her quilt and it works perfectly with all those polka dots!

She spent a great deal of time putting together her checkerboard binding. I rarely see a binding that has this much piecing in it. I love how the quilt ends with such a party! I know it is hard to see the binding in these photos but make sure you hunt for it.

This was the first time Lynn has ever used a longarm quilter and I'm so delighted she gave me a call for her daughter's quilt!

Debbie's Apple Orchard Quilt

Debbie has been keeping me busy but out of all the quilts she brought me to get ready for Christmas, this was the most important in my eyes.

She bought the top off ebay and asked me to finish it up as a gift for her mother for Christmas.

Debbie shared with me that her mother has apple trees on her property so the apple pantograph was a perfect choice.

This is a new edge to edge pattern for my clients and it really quilts up nice. Wouldn't it be a perfect pattern for a teacher's quilt?

Be sure to really see how the sashing is pieced.  By using wide sashing strips and adding triangles to the ends of the strips, it forms a star that doesn't have points that need to line up or any other headaches.

It is effective, isn't it?

Debbie's Baby Couthouse Steps

Debbie made this adorably happy log cabin  Courthouse Steps (thanks, Liz) baby quilt. The fabrics are so lively and fun! Some of them have some glittery stuff in the fabric that makes it sparkle a bit, too.

The close up photos are darkened so you can see the stitching lines but the real colors are super vibrant and fun.

She is going to put this in an auction and I have no doubt it will be snapped up fast.

I used a hot lime green thread and did a swirl pantograph edge to edge design on her quilt. The pink dotted binding is the same fabric used in the backing.

CUTE!!
